Here’s how I got to where I am
I’ve written a couple of times regarding “success” on Medium. Real Success.
What do I consider real success?
It’s not an overnight, luck-of-the-draw, viral post. I haven’t had any of those — yet. But I haven’t lost hope!
Let me begin with a window to the reality of writing on Medium and a Thank You to those I appreciate!
How long will it take?
Initially, I signed up for Medium in January 2020. I posted my first article in February, thinking it was interesting enough to launch me into Medium popularity.
Oh man, was I wrong.
By March, I had three followers. There was a lot I had to learn.
I didn’t fully commit to writing on Medium until July 2021. At that time, I had about 300 followers. In four months, I was able to get 700 follows. Sorry, not just followers; I have readers.
How much do you have to write?
As of this article, I’ll have published 122 articles — some better than others. I tried a couple of times to write at least 30 articles a month. Though it’s possible, it’s also exhausting.
